Job Description
Beacon Learning Solutions is hiring an Instructional Designer to build corporate training programs for enterprise clients across finance, healthcare, and manufacturing. You will conduct stakeholder interviews to define real learning objectives, digging past a vague request for compliance training to understand what behavior actually needs to change on the ground. You will design curricula grounded in adult learning theory, resisting the temptation to just dump information into slides, and you will build genuinely interactive modules in Articulate Storyline that people complete because they're engaging, not just because they're mandatory. You will manage course rollout through client LMS platforms, troubleshooting the inevitable technical hiccups that come with deploying training across a large, distributed workforce, and you will design assessments that actually measure whether learning happened rather than just whether someone clicked through to the end. You will iterate content based on real completion and performance data, treating a training program as something that improves over time rather than a one-and-done deliverable. Prior experience designing corporate training content specifically, as opposed to academic curriculum design, is strongly preferred, since the constraints and stakeholder dynamics are genuinely different.
