Draft — not final legal advice This is a plain-language placeholder, written by the team, not a law firm. LayoffLink is a live product with real accounts and real data — before it operates at scale, this page needs review by an actual attorney. Nothing here should be relied on as a binding legal document yet.

Terms of Service

Draft version · last updated July 2026

By using LayoffLink, you're agreeing to the basics below. We've kept it short on purpose — ask us directly if anything is unclear.

What LayoffLink is

LayoffLink is a hand-matching service that connects candidates who have recently lost a job with people who can refer them into a role, or organizations with open roles. We are not a staffing agency, recruiter-of-record, employer, or bank, and we don't guarantee any interview, referral, or job offer.

It's free

LayoffLink is free for candidates, referrers, and organizations. We do not charge fees and we do not take a percentage of any referral bonus you receive. If anyone claims otherwise while using our name, it isn't us — please report it to Contact@layofflink.com.

Your responsibilities

No guarantees

We do our best to match candidates with the right referrer or organization, but we can't promise a specific outcome, timeline, or that a match will happen at all. LayoffLink is provided "as is," in an early, actively-changing phase.

What's real here

Accounts, profiles, resumes, job postings, and applications are stored on our server and tied to your real account — they persist across devices and don't disappear when you clear your browser. Any illustrative or sample content on the site (e.g. marketing examples) is clearly labeled as such.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves out of this early phase. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
