Job Description

Whitmore & Sinclair Advisory is hiring a Legal & Compliance Associate to support corporate legal and regulatory work for a portfolio of mid-market clients across sectors. You will draft and review commercial contracts ranging from vendor agreements to partnership terms, always balancing legal precision against the practical reality that clients need deals to move quickly. You will conduct legal research on evolving regulatory requirements and translate dense regulatory language into plain guidance that client business teams can actually act on without a law degree. A core part of the role is supporting due diligence for corporate transactions, reviewing contracts, flagging liabilities, and compiling findings into clear diligence reports under real time pressure. You will help maintain internal compliance frameworks, working closely with senior counsel on risk assessments that shape how the firm advises clients on sensitive matters. You will also occasionally liaise directly with client legal teams, representing the firm's work product and fielding follow-up questions professionally. A law degree is required, along with genuine prior experience in corporate or commercial legal work rather than purely academic or litigation-focused experience.
