Job Description

Ironclad Cyber Defense is hiring a Network Security Engineer to manage and harden network infrastructure for enterprise clients across finance and healthcare, sectors where a breach carries real regulatory consequences. You will configure and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPN infrastructure, treating every configuration change as something that needs to be justified and documented, not just quietly pushed. You will run regular vulnerability assessments across client environments, prioritizing findings by actual exploitability rather than just severity score, and you will respond to security incidents as part of an on-call rotation where minutes genuinely matter once something is actively being exploited. You will use SIEM tooling to monitor for anomalous activity across client networks, tuning alerts continuously so the team is chasing real threats instead of drowning in false positives, and you will produce clear, actionable remediation guidance for client IT teams who may not have deep security expertise themselves. You will also contribute to incident post-mortems, helping translate a stressful incident into concrete changes that reduce the chance of a repeat. Strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall platforms and real incident response experience, not just certifications, are required for this role.
