Job Description
Ashford HR Solutions is hiring a Payroll & Compliance Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of mid-size clients across manufacturing, IT services, and retail. You will ensure PF, ESI, and TDS filings are accurate and submitted on time every cycle, and you will stay ahead of statutory compliance changes so clients are never caught off guard by a new regulation. A meaningful part of the role involves supporting internal and client audits, pulling documentation, reconciling discrepancies, and explaining payroll decisions clearly to auditors who may not have payroll backgrounds themselves. You will maintain accurate HRMS records for each client, resolve employee payroll queries directly when they get escalated, and coordinate monthly reconciliations with client finance teams to make sure numbers match on both sides. Because you will be handling multiple clients with different pay cycles and policies at once, strong organizational habits matter as much as technical payroll knowledge. Prior experience with Indian statutory payroll compliance specifically is required; hands-on experience with a recognized HRMS platform such as Keka, Darwinbox, or GreytHR is a strong plus.
