Job Description
As a Senior Communications Specialist at CHOC Children's Hospital, you will lead internal communications and storytelling initiatives across a 6,000+ employee healthcare system during periods of rapid organizational change, supporting employee engagement, executive messaging, and crisis communications throughout COVID-19. You will craft clear, empathetic, and strategic messaging for leadership to maintain workforce alignment, develop comprehensive internal newsletters, coordinate cross-departmental announcements, manage urgent health advisory updates, evaluate communication channel effectiveness, partner with human resources to drive organizational culture initiatives, support change management programs, ensure regulatory and medical compliance in public statements, and foster a transparent, connected corporate culture across all hospital departments, clinical networks, and administrative facilities during critical operational transitions.
