SENIOR DECISION AUTOMATION CONSULTANT OVERVIEW Lead the design and implementation of business decision automation solutions for enterprise clients. Requires strong experience in business rules, decision automation, workflow/process automation, BPMN, APIs and integration technologies, with ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Decision Automation & Business Rules - Design and implement enterprise decision automation solutions - Translate complex business requirements into business rules and decision models - Develop and maintain decision logic for business-critical processes - Work with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities - Ensure automated decisions are transparent, scalable and maintainable - Review existing decision processes and recommend optimization opportunities Business Process Management - Design business processes using BPMN and related process-modelling techniques - Work with workflow and process automation platforms - Analyse end-to-end business processes and identify bottlenecks - Design automated workflows that improve operational efficiency - Collaborate with business and technology teams to implement process improvements Camunda / Workflow Automation - Work with Camunda and related workflow/process automation technologies - Design workflow models and process orchestration solutions - Configure and implement automated business processes - Integrate workflow platforms with enterprise applications and APIs - Troubleshoot and optimize workflow implementations API & System Integration - Design and implement integrations between decision engines, workflow platforms and enterprise applications - Work with REST APIs and other integration mechanisms - Understand JSON-based data structures and API payloads - Collaborate with development teams on integration architecture - Ensure reliable and secure data exchange between systems n8n / Automation - Design automation workflows using n8n or similar automation platforms - Identify repetitive business activities suitable for automation - Integrate multiple applications and services through automated workflows - Develop reusable automation components - Monitor and improve automated workflows Technical Leadership - Provide technical leadership to implementation teams - Review solution designs and technical approaches - Mentor junior consultants and developers - Establish development and implementation best practices - Support architecture and design discussions - Participate in technical discussions with clients and senior stakeholders REQUIREMENTS Professional Experience - 15–20 years of overall IT/technology experience - Strong background in enterprise consulting and solution implementation - Demonstrated experience in business process and decision automation - Experience working with enterprise clients and senior stakeholders - Experience leading technical teams and complex implementations Education - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business/Technology-related discipline - Equivalent professional experience may be considered Domain Experience - Experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance is highly desirable - Understanding of insurance business processes, decisioning requirements and enterprise transformation initiatives KEY COMPETENCIES - Enterprise Consulting - Solution Design - Decision Automation - Business Process Management - Technical Leadership - Stakeholder Management - Problem Solving - Analytical Thinking - Communication - Team Leadership - Client Management ROLE EXPECTATIONS - Understand complex business requirements - Translate business requirements into automated decision and workflow solutions - Lead solution design and implementation - Work closely with business and technology stakeholders - Ensure quality, scalability and maintainability of solutions - Provide technical guidance to delivery teams - Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation - Contribute to enterprise digital-transformation initiatives
